A mindfulness and relaxation course will take place in Tullamore
A half-day hands-on experiential course on using mindful meditation and relaxation to improve emotional balance and well-being will take place next week in Tullamore.
During the morning there will be an overview of the principles and attitudes of mindfulness as well as the practice of several mindful meditations including Body Scanning Meditation, Acceptance Based Meditation, Compassion Focused Meditation and progressive muscle relaxation.
The course will be led by Julie O’Flaherty and Imelda Ferguson, licensed clinical psychologists based in Tullamore.
Imelda Ferguson and Julie are psychologists in private practice with extensive experience working in the field of adult mental health. They run the positive psychology service Mind Your Self Midlands and they recently held a three-night ‘Beat Anxiety Bootcamp’ which was very well received.
The mindfulness course will take place on Monday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Hotel, Main Street, Tullamore.
Tickets for the Mindfulness and Relaxation Morning are €100 and the price includes tea and coffee.
