Coronavirus Live News, Coronavirus Case In India Today, Unlock June 10 Highlights: June 10, 2021 – The day India lost over 6,000 people to Covid19 infection, officially. This huge jump in the daily crown tally is the result of Bihar’s key update. After an audit commissioned by HC, Bihar officials said those who were registered as ‘recovered’ patients were now updated as deaths from Covid. This type of data purge will have a massive impact not only on national Covid counts, but also on trends at the state level. The question is: will we see such a review from states such as Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Local media have regularly reported that official records did not match up to updates on cremation / burial sites. In case all states start updating their numbers, India could see such a spike regularly.

If we remove the impact of Bihar, the daily death toll from Covid stood at 2,197. The daily case count also remained below one lakh for the third day in a row. However, we saw a slight increase in the daily count.

However, the most important point is the collective behavior responsible for the Covid. What is missing from the start of unlocking. Whether it be sabzi mandis (vegetable market) of Varanasi or bazaars of Bihar, the crowded scenes show how people have simply forgotten the horrors of the second wave of the coronavirus. As the vaccination rate is still very low compared to the desired target, such overcrowding can worsen the spread of the virus. Because remember the virus didn’t go anywhere. Unlocking the economy is the need of the moment, but the irresponsible behavior of a section of the public could well bring back devastation once more! Haven’t we learned our lessons yet?
