Industrial veteran and ex-president of one of the famous brands of scooters, Rahul Bajaj breathed his last on February 12, Saturday. He was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic a month ago and last breathed around 2.30pm. According to the chairman of Ruby Hall Hospital, Dr Parvej Grant, “Rahul Bajaj passed away today at 2:30 p.m. He died of heart and lung problems. He was admitted to Ruby Hall Hospital for a month of Pune”.

NIA Raids 3 Sites in Thanjavur, Including Home of Khilafat Accused
In a major development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids on three locations in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu on Saturday. The searches were carried out at the residences of Abdul Khader, a two-wheeler mechanic followed by Ahmed, based on clues from Abdul Khader who was arrested in 2021 for allegedly being part of a Khilafat movement (originally a protest from nearly 100 years ago to reinstall the Caliph as head of the declining Ottoman Empire), and another person, namely – Mannai Baba, who was allegedly detained there four months old.

In a major development, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken full charge of the Trinamool Congress amid an alleged in-party feud. At the emergency meeting of senior party officials convened at his residence on Saturday, it was decided to form a new national party committee, consisting of 20 members. Apart from this, no other positions exist within TMC. Notably, senior Trinamool executives Derek O’Brien and Saugata Roy are not part of the new executive.
