Emirates has relaxed the rules for the rapid PCR test for travelers to Dubai from India, Pakistan and four other countries.
Now, all passengers with a valid UAE residence visa can take the rapid PCR test six hours before departure. Previously, all passengers had to take a rapid PCR test 4 hours before departure.
“All passengers with a valid UAE residence visa are permitted to travel to and via Dubai from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda must complete a PCR test. fast within 6 hours of departure, “a statement said on the Emirates Airlines website. .
“The rapid antigen test will not be accepted,” the passenger statement warned.

âApart from the rapid PCR test, passengers must have a valid COVID-19 test certificate issued within 48 hours between the time of sample collection and the scheduled departure of the flight,â the statement said.
âOnly COVID 19 PCR test reports from certified laboratories that issue a QR code linked to the original report will be accepted. ”
âDubai visa holders must apply for pre-entry approval from the General Directorate of Residence and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA). Passengers must take a COVID 19 PCR test upon arrival in Dubai.
UAE nationals are exempt from the above requirements but undergo the COVID 19 PCR test upon arrival in Dubai.
Passengers with UAE visa sponsored by “Dubai EXPO 2020” do not need GDRFA approval to enter Dubai.
