“Anyone else who contracted the virus after being fully vaccinated and having the same ‘trip’? “
Piers believed he caught the virus while watching England play the Euro.
After developing symptoms, which included fever, cold sweats, coughing, sneezing and “strange pains”, he underwent a lateral flow test which came back positive, then a PCR test confirmed the result. .
The presenter stepped down from his role on Good Morning Britain after an argument over his comments on Meghan Markle, but despite his outing, it was recently revealed that he was in the running for the TV Presenter of the Year award at the NTA.
Most Amused to be finally nominated for TV Presenter of the Year at the @OfficialNTAs – although it can be a bit #awks for ITV if I win for my work on @GMB“he wrote on Twitter as she acknowledged his appointment.
“Maybe I should pull a Brando and send Princess Pinocchio to receive it on my behalf.”
