âFor me, on January 2, 2017, a very dear friend of mine passed away, and I was adamant that I would wear a black dress for their funeral as they deserved nothing less.
“Well I spent a whole day shopping trying to find a dress and I was trying on size 18 dresses. I came home empty handed, unable to buy a dress because none would fit , I sat on my bed and cried well.
âI felt fat, ugly, unattractive and disgusted with myself for allowing myself to become this size, but more importantly, I felt like I had let my friend down.
âMy husband told me he thought I was beautiful and attractive, but it didn’t matter to me because I didn’t feel him inside me.
âSo I made the decision to join Slimming World and found a local band in the village where I live on a Saturday morning.
