Traders welcome relaxation during market closing hours
Traders have started decorating their shops after Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Shareef’s approval to keep their shops open until late night before Eidul Azha.
A gift, markets and shopping in City Market, Main Market, Niya Bazaar, Tehsil Road Market, Kanari Market, Dulhan Bazaar, Shandar Chowk, Muhammadi Chowk, Chowk Gunbadwali Masjid, Railway Road, Civil Line Road, Kachehri Road, Old GT Road, Machine Mohalla Road and other shopping malls.
The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has also welcomed the Federal Government’s announcement to suspend the market closure policy ahead of the upcoming Eid ul Azha. They called it a positive and business-friendly move that would facilitate Eid shopping and help traders boost business activity.
Muhammad Shakeel Munir, Chairman of ICCI, at a business community meeting, thanked Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for paying close attention to traders’ demands for lift calendar restrictions for Eid al-Azha and suspend the market closure policy in the capital territory until July 10, 2022.
